The Q5 Pro and its sibling, the more expensive Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've tested. They are equipped with top-of-the-line motors which can produce up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. Like other iRobots with premium features (including the top model) they utilize smart mapping to produce precise floorplans that avoid obstacles like cords and furniture legs. They also feature a feature called carpet boost that increases the robot's power when it detects an abundance of dirt on the carpet to get it clean quickly.
The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored extremely well in our tests on floors that were bare They are also adept in cleaning hair from dogs. However, they do have a few flaws however, which prevent them from being our top option. One of the weaknesses of the Q5 is its navigation system doesn't have AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's also prone to become stuck on socks and shoes and couldn't navigate densely packed rooms very efficiently during our tests. Also, it doesn't have an image sensor that lets it see the corners of a room.

During testing, X30 Ultra was the quickest robot vacuum/mop that could clean an entire home, with 66 per cent of its battery remaining. It also did a great job cleaning a range of floors and rooms that had different flooring types, including some area carpets. Its obstacle detection was top-notch and it was nimbly avoiding fake dog turds, socks, shoes and cables.
It's a bit more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, but it has superior suction, a built-in dust bin that automatically fills up its base, and it supports voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
